Waste Water Treatment Systems

As an authorized Water Maze and Alkota dealer, Action Cleaning Systems Inc. offers waste water treatment and recycling systems customized to your requirements. Our water treatment systems use multiple technologies to address specific waste water challenges, and each system is designed, tested and installed by engineers, service technicians and Action Cleaning Systems. The installation process includes a comprehensive evaluation that involves understanding the water contaminants, how much water needs to be treated and where will the water be going… treated and discharged, recycle and reused, reduced and evaporated. Once this is determined, then we apply the appropriate technologies and provide ongoing operational support.

Whatever the water treatment requirement, we have the technology:

  • Coagulation / Flocculation
  • Mechanical Filtration
  • Oil-Water Separation
  • Evaporation
  • Pre-Treatment
  • Modular Bioremediation

Our wastewater treatment systems are part of the more than 11,000 systems world-wide treating and recycling millions of gallons of wastewater every day. They also help our customers reduce their liability exposure related to off-site disposal, reduce their disposal costs, and most our customers achieve a return on their investment in less than two years.

To learn more about our wastewater treatment technologies:

Coagulation / Flocculation
A process that helps to remove suspended particles or emulsified oils from water. Coagulation does this by applying a chemical coagulant or electrocoagulation to wastewater causing ionic charges around particles or oils and suspending them within the water. Flocculation is a process of mixing a flocculant chemical into the water to create additional adhesion between the mater and suspend it in the water. Coagulation / Flocculation make it easier to remove the matter from the water. This process can help, when combined with other technologies, to successfully treat a broad range of waste streams with minimal maintenance. Equipment for this process includes modular water treatment systems. All of our Water Maze systems are certified to UL safety standards and are manufactured under internationally recognized ISO-9001 standards for quality.

Mechanical Filtration
Filtration Systems that allow solids and water to drain through filter media, trapping the solids and allowing the water to pass through. Our systems filtration capabilities range from solids with particles that are between 5 to 20 microns, and our systems utilize above ground storage and process tanks for ease of service and maintenance. All of our Water Maze systems are certified to UL safety standards and are manufactured under internationally recognized ISO-9001 standards for quality.

Oil/Water Separation
A process of separating buoyant and free-floating oil from wastewater or sewage mixtures using in-ground separators or above-ground clarifiers and separators. The method of separation depends on the characteristics of the oil and water mixture. Please note: oils that are chemically emulsified and dispersed in the water and oil soluble in water typically do not require an oil / water separation treatment, and other water treatment technologies can be applied for this influent water. All of our Water Maze systems are certified to UL safety standards and are manufactured under internationally recognized ISO-9001 standards for quality.

Evaporation
Thermal transfer technologies that heat a body of water to the point of evaporating up to 95% of its volume, so that the remnants can be disposed of more economically than off-site disposal of water. Equipment for evaporation may include hot-plate technology, submerged combustion system or an evaporator belt, and these technologies utilize various power sources, including natural gas (NG), liquid propane (LP) or electricity. All of our Water Maze systems are certified to UL safety standards and are manufactured under internationally recognized ISO-9001 standards for quality.

Pre-treatment
The primary role of pre-treatment is to prepare influent water for additional downstream treatment. This includes removing heavy soils, free-floating oils or adjusting the wastewater pH. Equipment for pre-treatment varies based off the water conditions, and may include a pit system, above-ground cone-bottomed clarifier tank or a pH permissive system. All of our Water Maze systems are certified to UL safety standards and are manufactured under internationally recognized ISO-9001 standards for quality.

Modular Bioremediation
The process of applying living organisms (microbes) to waste streams so they can break down organic carbon based molecules into harmless carbon dioxide and water. This bio-technology is typically used with wash water from cleaning trucks and trailers, golf and turf equipment and with emulsified hydrocarbons (oils). It can be a cost effective and user friendly method of water treatment; however, is must be applied correctly, and it often is a component within a larger system.
